Community Outreach Group

Our Community Outreach Group aims to uphold Basically Wonderful’s mission & values by supporting the creation of intentional peer-led spaces and actions. We are dedicated to filling gaps in the community through advocacy and outreach, collaboration with value-aligned initiatives, and celebrating intersectional solidarity within LGBTQIA+ and Disability spaces. We are a collective of volunteers bringing our lived experiences, areas of expertise, skills, and passions to a committee focused on expanding the support networks for Queer, Trans, & Disabled folks in Central Florida and beyond. 

The Community Outreach Group currently meets monthly on first Thursdays at 3pm EST. Attendance is never required, but greatly encouraged as often as you can. While Central Florida residents are particularly encouraged to join , you do not have to be local to CFL to be in this group, as all meetings are virtual.
